My name is Marisa Magnusen. Thank you so much for stopping by. If you're here then you've looked at my work and I am so grateful. If you want to know about my photography I guess a simple answer is that I took a hobby that I had learned from my father as a kid (with film and an old Canon SLR) and turned it into my passion. Other than that I hope my work speaks for itself as it has for the duration of my professional career.
I was born and raised in the Pittsburgh area. My parents always encouraged creativity and for that I am eternally grateful. I have been married for over 8 years to the man of my dreams. I'm not trying to be super mushy but if you know us, you would know how much this is true. I am a mother of two girls, age 7 and 4, who have changed my life from the first moment we found out that we were pregnant. As each day passes they grow into more interesting and inventive little people. I find myself with a thirst to drink in every last drop of this wonderful life we are building. Through my photography and writing I hope to be able to savor this all as long as possible. I've traveled to many wonderful and awe inspiring places and still some of my favorite photographs have taken place with two little girls in my garden.
My path has been filled with amazing opportunities and clients who share my vision and desire to capture an authentic moment of the here and now for them to cherish. I have worked with high school seniors, families, children, and companies. I would love to meet you! Let's see if we are a match and capture something to last forever.
